Amaranthine is a beauty and skincare company, hand making sustainable and quality products from a boutique studio in Glasgow. The hobby-turned-business was founded by Sarah, a qualified Clinical Aromatherapist underpinned by former training as a Nurse and Beauty Therapist. Born from a love of the creative process of using raw natural ingredients to make gorgeous products, Amaranthine has evolved into an innovative skincare range.

How it started
For Sarah, the Amaranthine journey started in 2017:
I qualified as a Natural Skincare Formulator, and with my former training as a Nurse, Beauty Therapist and Aromatherapist, I knew I had the background knowledge and experience needed to create a skincare business my customers would love.
For the first two years I ran Amaranthine from my home, but in May 2019 we moved to a studio. This was a huge milestone and it’s here that I now make all your Amaranthine products.
I began making skincare products as a hobby and I enjoyed the creative process of using raw natural ingredients to make innovative skincare products. What started as a passion project is now a boutique business.
Why are we doing this?
Skincare should make you feel good. It’s as simple as that. Here at Amaranthine, we have created a range of natural skincare products that are both luxurious and effective, formulated to smell fantastic - our essential oil blends are chosen holistically for both their skin and mood benefits.
We want your skincare routine to be a self-care ritual that you look forward to - it shouldn’t be a chore. In the fast-paced world we live in, take a few minutes of me-time with your very own Amaranthine skincare ritual!

Sustainability is one of our core values. We’re proud to be the first skincare company in the world to attain a Certified Palm Oil Free Trademark. Read why being Palm Oil Free is so important to us. We're also certified Cruelty Free by PETA and are part of its Beauty Without Bunnies program.
We don’t use unsustainable or over-harvested ingredients and we pledge to minimise our waste from production right through to delivery.
Many of our ingredients are organic and fair trade, sourced mindfully from suppliers that have similar ethical values to us.
We’re always looking at new ways to make our operations more sustainable - for example our compostable refill packs for our clay face masks and new recyclable aluminium caps for our face oils.
We are continuously working to find alternatives to reduce our carbon footprint. Your suggestions are always welcome!
