How our face oil can help rosacea
The combination of seven anti-inflammatory oils (Argan, Jojoba, Raspberry, Pumpkin, Lavender, Frankincense and Geranium) work in synergy to give a powerful anti-inflammatory effect, soothing inflammation
In rosacea skincare, it's essential to use gentle, natural moisturisers that support and strengthen the skin barrier. A healthy skin barrier acts as a shield against environmental triggers that cause inflammation and irritation in rosacea. It also helps retain moisture, crucial for compromised skin.
Our face oil's botanical oils are rich in linoleic fatty acids, deeply moisturising dry skin and aiding in repairing the skin barrier. Olive Squalane and Jojoba act as occlusives, forming a protective layer that helps prevent moisture loss.
Research indicates that individuals with rosacea may have imbalances in fatty acids, including lower levels of specific types like cis-11-eicosanoic acid found in Jojoba oil, a primary component of our face oil.
Essential oils and rosacea
Our face oil blends essential oils to promote relaxation and calm, which can reduce stress - a known trigger for rosacea. The essential oils we use are gentle, non-irritating, and possess anti-inflammatory properties that may soothe redness associated with rosacea. While caution is advised with certain essential oils, like Peppermint or Tea Tree, suitability varies by individual. Our face oil features high-quality, non-irritating essential oils from a reputable French distiller. Many customers with sensitive or rosacea-prone skin have reported positive results. We suggest trying our mini-sized face oil to assess compatibility before committing to a full-size bottle.

Allergies
This product contains Argan oil, a plant oil produced from the kernels of the Argan tree and is therefore classed as a tree nut.
Patch testing is advised the first time you use a new product, particularly if you have sensitive skin or are prone to allergies. Test a small area of skin (the inside of your elbow or inner arm for example) and observe for 24hrs to be sure there is no reaction before applying generally.
The perfect choice… day or night
Whilst our natural face oil is primarily a night oil, used after cleansing to provide all the moisture your skin needs, you can also use it to kick-start your day as part of your morning moisturising routine.
After cleansing, apply approximately 3-5 drops onto the palm of your hands and then gently pat (or smooth in an upwards motion) onto your face and neck.
If using as a night oil, no night moisturiser is required. Our oil is nourishing and moisturising enough to use on its own.
For winter skin-care add a drop to your moisturiser for an extra moisture boost. Simply mix them together it in the palm of your hand before application. Drier skin types can also benefit from using our face oil as a make-up primer. If using it in this way, apply a drop or two as the last step in your morning ritual and then wait ten minutes before applying your make-up.
Maximise the therapeutic qualities of the essential oils by inhaling the aroma from your cupped hand once you have applied the oil to your face. Inhaling the essential oils in this way can bring about feelings of relaxation.
Avoid applying our face oil around the eyes. Do not introduce a new product while you are having ar rosacea flare-up.
Opening Directions
Our face oil pipette caps are tamper evident. To open, the seal needs to be broken by pushing the spinner down and twisting. The cap is also child resistant, perfect for ensuring your product is kept safe around children. Although these pipette caps can be a little tricky to open, we made the decision to switch from standard pipette caps as they are far more secure. We found out that with the standard ones our customers often had problems with the bottle leaking when travelling and a fair few distraught moments when kids got into them and spilled an almost new bottle!
Storage and packaging
The product is packaged in high quality blue glass to protect the oils from UV light deterioration. Store away from heat and sunlight to further extend shelf life.
The glass bottle can be re-purposed or recycled. The plastic lid and glass pipette is not recyclable. For repeat purchases, you can choose the aluminium cap option if you would like to re-use your pipettes.
Ingredient spotlight
Olive Squalane, found in our face oil, is nicknamed 'nature's facelift'. Studies have shown that it visibly reduces wrinkles by improving skin elasticity and hydration.
Skincare tip
If you have dry or dehydrated skin, apply your face oil to damp skin. The oil will lock in the extra moisture, increasing hydration levels.
Did you know?
Plant oils have different absorbency rates. A good face oil will be formulated with fast absorbing oils so that your skin won't feel greasy after application.
